PDP begins sale of nomination forms on Monday

Nomination forms for the various offices of the National Working Committee, NWC, of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, will be on sale next Monday, said the president of the convention planning organization, Ahmadu Fintiri.
The governor of Adamawa state said so yesterday in Abuja after a committee meeting at the party’s national headquarters.
That’s even if he noted that the committee was planning with the dates of October 30/31 in mind. According to him, Eagles Square has been secured while the Old Parade Ground, zone 10, will be used for accreditation.
He said: “We expect sales of forms to start on Monday and we also anticipate that the selection committee should also start and complete its work by the end of next week at the latest so that those in the running can do their jobs. . campaign.
“The place has been secured, that is to say the Place de l’Aigle and it is ours that day, the 30th and 31st. We have also secured the former parade ground of zone 10 which will be used for accreditation.
“We urge the accreditation committee to work on the use of these sites in conjunction with the transport committee so that the transport committee works with the appropriate transport companies to secure vehicles for members who will be accredited and transported from the old parade ground to the Eagles. square.”

Governor Fintiri further stated that the committee would go all the way to deal with the submissions of the various subcommittees of the convention in order to have a smooth exercise.
“We have received budgets from all of the subcommittees and we are in the process of streamlining the budget as there are areas where submissions conflict. We are all working to achieve a convention which is the 2021 convention.
“As soon as we have completed this meeting, we will approve the budgets based on the availability of funds and at the beginning of next week, precisely Monday and Tuesday, some of the committees will start receiving their budget support so that they can begin their work in earnest. work for us to have a successful convention.
Also speaking, Bauchi State Governor Senator Bala Mohammed told reporters that consensus remains an option in all positions, however adding that where this is not possible, candidates would go to the field to test their popularity.
“Consensus is normally a democratic consultation process because democracy is about consensus.
“Certainly the electoral process can be reduced by having a focal point on an individual and that would have reduced the disparaging problems within the party.
“I said we should have a consensus candidate, but where we won’t, we won’t practice taxation.
“We have solved the zoning problem. We have learned our mistakes and we are not going to play gallery the way our detractors or competitors want us to be.
