Londoners can expect to enjoy a warm Easter weekend, which will remain largely dry and see sunny spells throughout. Temperatures are likely to be highest on Good Friday, according to the Met Office, with highs of 21C expected here in London.

Friday might even be the hottest day so far this year once the morning mist, fog and low clouds clear. As the day progresses, we can expect to see warm temperatures and a largely dry day, with sunny spells perfect for enjoying the weather outside.

As the weekend progresses we can expect the weather to remain mostly dry and warm, but the temperature will cool down as the days go on. London will see highs of 19C on Saturday, 17C on Sunday and a cooler 15C on Monday, according to the Met Office.

The good days are coming

Neil Armstrong, chief meteorologist at the Met Office, said: “Most people will see spells of decent bank holiday weather this weekend, and it will be hot in places, particularly during the first half of the Easter holiday.

“However, a low pressure system will affect the North West of the UK later on Sunday bringing choppy weather to the north with strong winds and rain in the North West which could impact conditions. driving for some, but further south it will be drier, especially in the southeast.

“There will be varying amounts of cloud, but temperatures will be well above average for the time of year, although low cloud may keep temperatures lower in coastal areas. However, where the sun rises, people can expect very pleasant spring conditions.
