Eatontown man accused of having sex with a minor

Joshua Padilla, 33, of the Berkeley Place unit block in Eatontown was arrested Friday by detectives from the Monmouth County District Attorney’s Office, assisted by officers from the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office and the Pennsylvania Police Department. State of Pennsylvania.
Padilla is charged with unlawful contact with a minor, obscene material and other sexual performances, sexual abuse of children – making, distributing and possessing child pornography, and related charges. These charges are first, second and third degree crimes.
Last month, officers in the Attorney General’s Child Predators Section received a report from Pennsylvania State Police that an adult male, later identified as Padilla, had unlawfully sexually involved with a woman. 17 year old girl in Northampton County in April or May of 2018.
The victim was first contacted over the internet by Padilla on a website called adultfriendfinder.com.
The victim was underage during intercourse, and Padilla knew it.
Padilla reportedly recorded the meeting on her cell phone and uploaded the video depicting the sexual acts to the same website, where it was viewed and shared by other users of the site.
During their investigation, agents from the Attorney General’s Child Predators Section came into contact with Padilla last month, via social media and text messaging.
During the bite, an undercover agent told Padilla he was communicating with a 14-year-old.
Padilla then reportedly said he wanted to meet the alleged child, used sexually explicit language, sent two photos of her genitals and requested photos of the alleged 14-year-old girl.
AG Shapiro said Padilla’s texts indicated he would perform sexual acts on her, and he requested more photos of his alleged 14-year-old victim while she was at school.
“Our agents work around the clock to investigate child sex predators and get them off the streets of Pennsylvania,” said Attorney General Shapiro. “We have zero tolerance in my office for child predators wherever we find them. This is particularly upsetting and blatant when the accused predator is a member of law enforcement, sworn to protect citizens and uphold the law. “

Padilla is currently in custody in New Jersey, awaiting extradition to Northampton County, Pa. – where the charges were laid on Friday.
