– Founder, Lucy Anderson obtains funding to launch the brand in North America

– Pursuing her women in charge of business, Lucy gets 75% of the money from female investors

LONDON, March 9, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — WooWoo, a British women’s wellness brand, has announced a major round of investment to help the company expand its brand and expand into new markets.

Founded in 2016, the women-founded company which has one of the very few all-female boards in the UK (currently just 36% in the UK), only started operations in 2018 with the backing from Superdrug. Offering an award-winning range of products specifically designed for women, the brand quickly developed a cult fan base, establishing itself as a British staple in the booming intimate care category. Stocked by a number of leading retailers, the brand’s primary business channel is its e-commerce site WooWoo.fun, which provides the brand with a global platform for social advocacy around women’s confidence and normalization of women’s sexuality.

In 2021, the brand successfully expanded its reach into new territories, including France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Australia. With the latest round of funding, the brand plans to further expand its reach with a U.S. launch in late 2022, as well as inject new investment into expanding its product portfolio.

Lucy – who will continue to lead the company as CEO of WooWoo is joined on the board by Bettina Wonsag as Chairwoman, who brings with her a wealth of beauty e-commerce experience gained in her previous role as Executive Chairwoman at Cult Beauty.
